For culture lovers, trips to Altenburg are a welcome change: the Residenzschloss, Lindenau Museum, Mauritianum, Skatbrunnen and many more sights await you. A visit to the island zoo on the large pond delights everyone - from young to old. The nearby Flugwelt Museum Altenburg-Nobitz amazes visitors of all ages. You can go for a wonderful walk or cycle in the Leinawald forest. Day trips to Leipzig, Chemnitz, Gera or Dresden are also possible.
