Burgkhammer lies picturesquely and somehow enchanted on the banks of the Saale between the Bleiloch and Hohenwartetal dams. Our vacation apartment is located in an old half-timbered house, probably dating back to the 1600s. The first parts of the house were built during the operation of the old hammer mill. In the up to 110 m² apartment, which is equipped with central heating, you will find everything you need for a carefree break. The apartment is in direct view of Burgk Castle, one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. The wooded landscape offers an ideal starting point for hikes at any time of year, for cycling tours or simply to relax. The international Eisenach-Budapest mountain hiking trail and the Saale cycle path run right through the village. Hiking trails meander around Burgkhammer in seemingly untouched nature.
