Northwest of Schleusingen lies its oldest district Fischbach. The village emerged from two glassworks in the 15th century. Village life today is determined by lively club activities and takes place mainly at the local clubhouse. The highlight is the annual village festival. The beautiful landscape around the village invites walkers, hikers and mountain bikers to relax. Particularly recommendable is the Little Fischbach Loop Trail with the Beggar's Fountain and the magnificent ponds in the Limpe Valley.
