Formerly a public swimming pool, the swimming facility in the Marktgölitz district of the unified municipality of Probstzella is very popular with bathers. In 2007, readers of the Ostthüringische Tageszeitung newspaper voted the swimming pool the most popular outdoor pool in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district, not least because the entire pool area is lovingly designed and very well maintained. The water slide in the children's area is particularly popular. The pool has had a modern water treatment system since 2004, which guarantees excellent water quality. The sanitary building, newly built in 2011, is handicapped accessible and the adjacent sports field offers plenty of opportunities for individual sports activities, especially for school classes and vacation children. The swimming pool's own kiosk offers bathers a wide selection of food, drinks and ice cream.
