Peace Laboratory
Peace Laboratory
The building was built in 1818/19 in half-timbering. Initially, it was used for the production of rifle and gun ammunition. For security reasons, ammunition was manufactured or stored on the outer perimeter of the fortress during peacetime. Between 1920 and 1935, it was converted into emergency housing and then used differently by the police and military until 1992. From 1995 to 2013, it served as a clubhouse for an Erfurt shooting club.
