The parish church of St. Gertrud is the center of the ancient village of Graba. Its existence is already documented in a document from the 11th century. The original appearance and former size of the church are unknown. The two-storey tower is the oldest part of the church. The choir was completed in the 16th century.

The large winged altar comes from the workshop of Hans Gottwald von Lohr, a pupil of the famous carver Tilmann Riemenschneider. In the shrine you can see the life-size figures of St. Gertrude between Benedict and Anno of Cologne. The paintings on the vaulted wooden ceiling were created after renovation work in the 18th century. They were executed by the Saalfeld painter Johann Friedrich Fasold. They depict a concert of angels and an allegory of the twelve elders from the Book of Revelation. The triumphal arch is decorated with a picture from the dream of the ladder to heaven.
