Breitenholz has been a place of pilgrimage since 1655. On the Feast of the Visitation at the beginning of July, the faithful make a pilgrimage to the 15th century image of Mary with the Child. On the day of the pilgrimage, the statue is placed on a stone table on the west side of the church and carried in the procession through the village after high mass.
