Grabe is a district of Mühlhausen and lies to the east of Mühlhausen. The district is located on the edge of the Thuringian Basin and the Unstrut lowlands. It was first mentioned in a document in 997.

Worth seeing are the church of St. Georg and the monastery ruins of St. Albanus. A special feature of the village is the combination of Groß- and Kleingrabe. The former Furthmühle mill is now a country inn in its historic location.

In the immediate vicinity is the Volkernroda monastery, which is well worth a visit and can be reached on foot from Grabe. Grabe is located on the Unstrut-Werra cycle path and the Loccum-Volkenroda and Via Porta pilgrimage routes.
