Situated on a reservoir not far from the B 85, you drive around Großbrembach. A detour to the village is worthwhile, because with its many winding alleyways and the combination of modern and restored houses, Großbrembach has a flair all of its own.

The renovation of the sports facility, numerous public events and a strong sense of community among the residents keep the village coming back to life. Social gatherings are characterized by the sports club, small animal breeders' club, lake sports club and the volunteer fire department. The senior citizens also get together regularly.

The village can be reached by public transport from Sömmerda and Buttstädt. The central location between the towns of Sömmerda, Naumburg, Erfurt and Weimar and the proximity to the A71 motorway offer residents good conditions for their everyday lives and excursion destinations.

The "Sankt Wigbert" farm church and its forecourt are definitely an eye-catcher in the region. The historic school building shows the charm of times gone by. Everyone can find a quiet spot at the adjacent reservoir. This is also ideal for a wide range of water sports. And those who prefer to get out and about can use the cycling and hiking trails around the village. The most beautiful view of the Thuringian Basin landscape can be seen from the old vineyards. There are no longer any wines here, but there are steppe meadows and lush green pastures.
