Großtöpfer is a district of Geismar in the Eichsfeld district of Thuringia. Großtöpfer is located to the west of Geismar in the Frieda valley on country roads 1007 and 2030 in the hilly terrain of southern Eichsfeld near the border with the state of Hesse. The Hülfensberg mountain towers over the district and the region to the south-east.
