Local History Museum Benshausen
Local History Museum Benshausen
Two barrel wine cellars still bear witness to the once flourishing trade in "fine wines". The museum - from cellars, former living and dining rooms to the barn - provides insights into the history of the Benshausen district, the living, working and living conditions of its inhabitants and pays tribute to historical personalities. Old kitchen utensils, furniture, clothing, jewelry, porcelain and toys from the 18th to 20th centuries will take you back to times long past. In addition, exhibitions on Benshausen's centurial court, the aforementioned wine trade and freight transport, agriculture, crafts and industry complete the all-round insight into the history of the town.
Visitor parking is available directly in front of the building.
The museum is run on a voluntary basis and is therefore by prior arrangement only and at certain events.
