The museum in Mihla town hall with the exhibition "Nobility, peasants and wars" in western Thuringia reports in nine exhibition rooms about the life of the ancestors, about the role that noble families, in particular the lords of Harstall and Hopffgarten, played in the region. The museum also provides visitors with information about the conquests of the Romans, the feuds of the Middle Ages, the Peasants' War, the Thirty Years' War and the wars of modern times that ravaged Mihla.

This museum uses original artefacts, documents, texts, dioramas, models and display boards to bring history to life and explain it vividly.
