Henneberg Museum Veßra Monastery
Henneberg Museum Veßra Monastery
The former Premonstratensian monastery of Veßra is a museum³: it combines the Romanesque monastery complex (e.g. ruins of St. Mary's Church, burial chapel of the Counts of Henneberg) with half-timbered architecture from the region (including residential buildings and craftsmen's houses) and agricultural technology from days gone by. The play barn, tractor course and children's media arbor await younger guests. With over 30 themed exhibitions, historic gardens and a variety of special exhibitions, the museum is the perfect place for exciting explorations, unique discoveries and special experiences.
