An interactive experience station in Weimar invites visitors to listen to original Bach works. By stepping on the "organ pedal", visitors generate electricity themselves, causing music to sound. The module at Bach's former home in Weimar is accessible free of charge. Johann Sebastian Bach and his family lived in the house at Markt 16 for nine years, where his first six children were born, including the later famous composers Wilhelm Friedemann and Carl Philipp Emanuel. Bach's former home became part of the "zum Erbprinzen" hotel in the 19th century. The house was badly damaged in an air raid in 1945 and demolished above ground in 1989/90. The Renaissance cellar vaults have been preserved.
