St. Joseph's Chapel Bischofsheim i.d.Rhön

The Josefskapelle (cemetery chapel) was donated by the Bischofsheim citizen Johann Georg Reitz and built in 1726/27. Having fallen into disrepair, it was used as a drying hall by cloth makers from 1803 and was only bought back by the then parish priest Wörner in 1858. Since then, it has been used as a place of worship again. Directly opposite is the Bischofsheim water playground and in its extension the green area behind the Rentamt with the historic ensemble of the Rentamt, town tower and parish church. Josefstraße leads to the market square, Bischofsheim's parlor with restaurants, cafés, stores and more.
