Curtain up! The mon ami cinema on Weimar's Goetheplatz is the municipal cinema of the city of Weimar. It is a civic institution for film education and the teaching of film history and shows sophisticated and entertaining cinematic art every day - supplemented by children's, family and school cinema and internationally award-winning contemporary cinema. First films and documentaries also regularly find their way onto the screen. In summer, an open-air cinema is regularly held in the building's inner courtyard.
