The Kinoklub am Hirschlachufer was opened on May 6, 1975 as the cinema club of the Erfurt District Film Office. The program profile then as now includes documentaries, country-specific films, director portraits, film series, lectures and many a special film. The small cinema with a 60-seat auditorium also offers an alternative to large chains in terms of atmosphere as well as the program.

There are also discounts not only for young people, school groups and students, but also days for the retired.
