Church Bischofroda

Three pointed arched windows in the east show that this extension also dates back to the Middle Ages. The upper storey of the tower with double round arches and the nave were built in the 17th century.

In the nave, there is a lords' box adorned with the Saxon coat of arms. The choir window and baptismal font date back to around 1900. The tombstone of the landowner Hans Jorg von Creuzburg on the triumphal arch was created around 1600. The lords of Creuzburg owned the estate in Bischofroda for a long time, as another tombstone on the southern exterior of the church reminds us.
