The late Romanesque hall church, built in 1260, was damaged in a fire in 1780. The church was rebuilt on the same site the following year. The lower storeys of the almost square choir tower survived the fire. It contains small light openings in various designs. The top storey, which houses the belfry and the tower clock, was added during the reconstruction with modern rectangular windows. The tower is covered with a staggered pyramid roof, which is crowned by a spire and a weathercock. The nave has three axes and is covered with a mansard roof with three dormers on each of the long sides.

The interior has a three-sided, two-storey gallery and is spanned by a wooden barrel vault. The church furnishings include a pulpit altar from 1782 and a baptismal angel from the 17th century. The organ was built by Adam Eifert in 1905.
