The Köhlerspitze (345m above sea level) is located on the highest point of the so-called Köhlersteig. From here you have a great view over the Göltzsch valley and to the east you can see the Göltzsch valley bridge. From the district Waldfrieden, the Köhlerspitzene can be reached after a hike along the Köhlersteig.
The Köhlersteig leads along the right slope of the Göltzschtal through the forests of the Irchwitzer and Reinsdorfer Flure and the Sorgwald from Greiz to Netzschkau. The hiking trail is part of the Vogtland Panorama Trail and opens up the beauty of the Lower Göltzsch Valley landscape conservation area. The Köhlersteig connects the city of "Greiz" with the city of "Reichenbach". This natural hiking trail is surrounded by rock towers - the Köhlerspitzen. The Köhlersteig is located between the mouth of the Göltzsch into the Weiße Elster in Greiz and the Göltzschtal bridge. Follow the signs in Greiz in the direction of the Göltzschtal bridge. The entrance is at the Papiermühlenweg, a parking lot is at the former paper mill on the other side of the Göltzsch.
