Schmiedefeld was home to a large number of olibusinesses. There is still a building in the village today in which Oswald Unger, probably the last Thuringian producer and trader of olices, produced elixirs, spirits, ointments, lemonades and so on. This building now houses a museum of olives. In the vernacular, Unger was jokingly referred to as the „poisoner“, from which the name of the museum is derived.

The museum contains historical objects and equipment that were used to make herbal lemonade, essences, stomach drops and other beneficial juices.
This also includes glass balloons, bottles and jars of all sizes, jars for ointments and pastes as well as distillation apparatus. There is also a complete photo laboratory and a printing press for labeling. Furthermore, some of the old drugstore and store fittings have been integrated into the museum tour. Visitors can also buy Thuringian herbal teas and herbal liqueurs.

There are various exhibitions on the 3 levels of the building. In the main area there is an exhibition on the history of the building, which is housed in an old pharmacy facility of the Erfurt Südstadt Apotheke. It shows which essences and tinctures were used to make the medicines and elixirs of the humpback pharmacists at that time, how they were filled into the individual containers and how they were distributed on the carrying racks, the so-called humpback pharmacies.

The second part of the entrance level shows how the warehousing, distribution and life of the humpback pharmacists was organized. This is vividly illustrated by some very well-preserved exhibits from this period.

On the second level, the herbal drying floor provides information about individual medicinal herbs and their special treatment, processing and drying processes. Mrs. Unger's old photo laboratory is also housed here. Mr. Unger's office can be visited at the back.

On the lower level, you can see part of the in-house lemonade production. There is also the Olitätenkeller, which is used as a seminar room for herbal seminars and music events.
