The center of the historic old town with its listed market ensemble is the town hall, built in 1571 and decorated with a lot of stone carvings. The decorative portal and the three-tiered vaulted cellars are well worth seeing. In the neighboring regional museum and the town information center in the old "post office", the exhibition rooms provide insights into the history of the town, the development of mining in the Geiseltal and information about the Traisland Geopark. Guided tours of the old town and other sights are available by appointment.
