The Kulturhof Zickra is located in a side valley of the Elster. Here, people dedicate themselves to artistic or craft activities far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life - and share this refuge with anyone who is interested.

The Kulturhof consists of a beautiful ensemble of buildings with workshops, a loam building hall with a stage for concerts, theater events, a small gallery and a café.

Markets & Events

• Market for regional delicacies: Specialties from the region are on sale here: Fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, bread, cheese, sausage and fish, pestos, jams, wines and more can be purchased directly from the producers. The vendors are happy to provide information about the origin and production of their products. 

• Arts and crafts market "Market of beautiful things": At this market with a special flair, potters, wood turners, jewelry designers, sculptors, Korbacher, glass blowers, soap makers etc. sell their goods and present their craftsmanship. The market is accompanied by a selected cultural program for young and old. Children can earn their "journeyman's certificate" in five different trades.

• Romantic Advent market: on one Advent weekend each year, artists, craftspeople and creative people from many parts of Germany offer their handmade products for sale in a rustic market atmosphere. When the old crafts are demonstrated, children and adults experience a journey back in time. This includes a pre-Christmas program with a puppet show, children's journeyman's certificate and live music.

• Workshops: Those interested can take part in workshops on a variety of topics, e.g. herbalism, tree grafting and pruning, carving or calligraphy.

HofCafé

In the HofCafé you can relax in a cozy atmosphere. Only regional and seasonal organic specialties are served, such as home-baked cakes without chemical additives, handmade Italian ice cream, cool beers, delicious teas and coffee from the Greiz coffee roastery Manuela Brandt. Home-grown herbs for the garden can also be purchased here.
