The Kunsthalle Erfurt is located in the heart of Erfurt's historic old town, directly opposite the town hall, in a patrician house rebuilt in 1562 in the Renaissance style, whose façade decoration is a major feature of the fish market. Temporary exhibitions of contemporary art with regional, national and international participants are shown regularly. Numerous guided tours and lectures offer the opportunity to explore the aesthetics and content of modern art.
