KUNSTPavillon Eisenach
KUNSTPavillon Eisenach
Designed and planned by the Leipzig architect Werrmann, opened as an exhibition pavilion in 1967 after a construction period of eight months: The KUNSTPavillon Eisenach is one of the last preserved and unchanged buildings of its time. It is at the same time an important contemporary witness of automobile construction and the building culture of modernity in the context of the GDR constraints.
The pavilion has a very great urban significance as a unique presentation of post-war modernism, which has its design and conceptual foundations in the Bauhaus, clearly visible in the building and original furnishings.
