The synthesis of nature and art can be experienced in Kleinbreitenbach, not far from Plaue: The Kleinbreitenbach art trail was created as a result of the „Small World - Big World“ international art symposia organized by the Arnstadt-Ilmenau Adult Education Centre, which were held annually from 1997-2006 and every two years from 2008.

The artists' works of art will remain in situ and decorate the Romanesque fortified church, the cemetery, the church forecourt, the village and a two-kilometer-long art trail at the end of Kleinbreitenbach (Plaue district).
After 12 years, the enchanting landscape, rich in orchids, already allows delightful views of the various 50 objects set up within sight and wonderful panoramic views of the Reinsberge mountains opposite. The path is constantly changing, not only with the seasons, but also with the constant addition of new art objects.
