Schwarzatal is a town and a rural municipality that was formed on January 1, 2019 and belongs to the Schwarzatal administrative community in the district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt in the German state of Thuringia. The town consists of the districts of Blumenau, Glasbach, Lichtenhain/Bergbahn, Mellenbach, Meuselbach, Oberweißbach/Thüringer Wald, Obstfelderschmiede, Schwarzmühle and Zirkel.
