Langula is a district of the rural community of Vogtei in the Unstrut-Hainich district of Thuringia. Historically and culturally, the village is closely linked to Oberdorla and Niederdorla.

Worth seeing in the village is the neo-Gothic Church St. George from the middle of the 19th century. Even before that, there was a church in the village, which had been known for its church music since the end of the Thirty Years' War. Johann Sebastian Bach visited and exchanged ideas with Adam Jakob Schröter, who was cantor in Langula at the beginning of the 18th century.

Langula's location makes it a good starting point for excursions into the rural community and for day trips into the surrounding countryside. To the Seebach Dam it is about 5 km, to the Haineck castle ruins it is about 8 km and to the Hainich National Park Center approx. 16 km. Hiking trails lead to the Lehdeborna tapped spring on the western edge of the Hainich, and to the Sinkholes Kainspring and Melchior Fountain near Oberdorla.

On the former railroad line of the Vogteier Bimmel From Mühlhausen to Treffurt runs a section of the 113 km long Unstrut-Werra cycle path.
