Leubingen
Leubingen
Since 1994, Leubingen has been a district of the town of Sömmerda in the Thuringian county of Sömmerda. Situated on the road to Stödten, the Leubingen princely mound or the Leubingen princely tomb from the early Bronze Age (1942 BC) is located. Its discovery in 1877 by Prof. Friedrich Klopfleisch (Jena) gained world importance. Even today, the princely mound conveys an imposing impression of the effort that went into its construction a good 4000 years ago. In the Heimatstube Leubingen you can find a replica of the mound tomb.
