Germany's first cross-country ski hall in Oberhof

After the opening of the LOTTO Thüringen Skisport-HALLE in Oberhof in 2009, word got around: Cross-country skiing is possible here all year round in ideal conditions of -4 °C. Recreational athletes, beginners and families with children will find a varied trail profile with a trail length of almost 2 kilometers - trails on which stars such as Jens Filbrich, Tino Edelmann, Andrea Henkel and Sabrina Buchholz have also completed their laps.

The times for training and leisure activities are regulated. The complete Equipment, also with clothing, can be rented in the entrance area. Also Cross-country skiing courses can be booked at any time of year. The hall is also established for sporting goods events, for testing winter tires or snow blowers and for television broadcasts.

Another attraction was added in 2011 - a four-lane biathlon shooting hall, directly adjacent to the cross-country ski trails. This not only provides biathletes with winter conditions regardless of the weather.
