ARRIVAL
Originally there was only a small chapel here. From the beginning of the 16th century until the late 18th century, this was expanded piece by piece. For the 400th birthday of the reformer in 1883, a Luther library was established and the bells were renewed.
During an improper renovation in 1097, the wooden ceiling was plastered over with numerous historical paintings. Finally, in 1968, the plaster was removed from the ceiling again and the interior painting was restored according to old patterns. In 1983 - on the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther's birth - further renovation work followed and the church received a new organ. The present altar table still consists of the stone tabletop that once had its place in the chapel. The stained glass windows of the chancel, donated in 1907 by one of Martin Luther's side relatives, depict Jesus preaching, the apostles Peter and John, and the reformers Martin Luther and Philip Melanchthon.
