Luther Room in the Möhra Village Community Center
Luther Room in the Möhra Village Community Center
The Luther Rooms are located in the village community center of Möhra, where Luther was born. An exhibition on the subject of „Martin Luther and Möhra“ can be viewed in the Luther Rooms, which were newly set up in 2002 in the village community center „Zum wilden Moor“.
The specific feature of the exhibition lies in the presentation of the history of Luther's reception, in particular the presentation of his origins, the explanation of his stay in Möhra after the Diet of Worms and his capture near Steinbach. In this context, the history of the Luther statue in Möhra and the memorial stone commemorating his capture in Glasbachgrund are also documented.
In consultation with the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dr. Jäger, scientific advisor to the Luther House in Eisenach, was entrusted with the technical design of the exhibition's content. He developed the concept and provided technical support for the design on the basis of a contract for work and services.
The two murals were painted by the local artist Mr. Lochner.
