A beautiful landscape of fields, forests, meadows and mountains awaits you around Hilders. Well-signposted hiking and cycling trails connect the many charming places to create real adventure tours.

The three peaks to the east of Hilders offer beautiful panoramic views: the Auersberg with its romantic castle ruins, the Battenstein with its Stations of the Cross and the Buchschirm, our local mountain. The Premium hiking trail "The Hilderser" connects the highlights with each other. On Mondays to Wednesdays, a hiking bus takes you to more distant Rhön highlights such as Milseburg, Wasserkuppe or Ellenbogen, from where you can walk back to Hilders at your leisure.

Leading in all directions Cycle routes to interesting destinationsfor example the Milseburg Cycle Path, the Rhön Cycle Path or the Ulster Valley Cycle Path. Simply put together your tour according to your mood!

Hilders itself also has a lot to offer: Families love the miniature golf course or the Ulsterwelle adventure pool. You can also enjoy a delicious meal or go shopping here. On Thursdays there is a weekly market with regional products and all year round many eventsfrom the spring market to the Heimatfest and the Licht'lmarkt. Many guests also come to the Winterto enjoy the magical snowy landscape of the Ulster Valley from the many winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails.
