Steinbach-Hallenberg Metal Craft Museum

The family names Recknagel, Nothnagel and Pfannschmidt say it all: it's all about fire and iron here. The Steinbach-Hallenberg Metal Crafts Museum mainly exhibits corkscrews, nails, hairdressing irons, pliers and other products from the small ironworking trade, which was based here for centuries. The original show workshops of the nail smiths and file cutters can also be visited. In the corkscrew workshop, which was converted in 2005, regular blacksmithing demonstrations take place, where visitors can not only watch but also take part.
