Museum All Saints' Church
Museum All Saints' Church
The All Saints' Church was built before 1287 as an act of atonement for the chapel of the Mühlhausen Imperial Castle, which had been destroyed by the townspeople. The striking Gothic architecture of the former church dates back to this time, but is also the result of an extension from the first half of the 14th century. The tower, which is a striking feature of Mühlhausen's townscape, was also given its upper storeys at this time. It is crowned by a magnificent baroque dome. Since its fundamental renovation in the 1980s, the building has been used as a museum.
