Museum Goethehaus Stützerbach

The Museum Goethehaus Stützerbach is one of the three memorials on the Goethe Trail through the Thuringian Forest. The museum is housed in the home of the glassworks owner Gundelach, who offered Goethe and Duke Carl August of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach accommodation in Stützerbach on several occasions between 1776 and 1779. The museum, which was redesigned in 2015, displays traditional local crafts on the lower floor. On the upper floor, the focus is on Goethe's literary and graphic works from the Stützerbach period.
