The baptismal font on the Frauenstein (596 m) near Kalbach is a boulder of dolerite lying around and has a depression at the top where rainwater can collect. It therefore resembles a baptismal font.

The Taufstein is located on the premium hiking trail Extratour "Haubentour", which runs between the Hessian and Bavarian Rhön. The total length is approx. 20 km. The signpost is a red "H" on a white background.
