The 1600 m² nature garden, which has existed since 1994, was completely redesigned in 2019/2020. The result is an inner-city nature garden with two thematic focuses. In the near-natural farm garden with what is probably the oldest city wall tower, you will find flowers, vegetable and dyer's plant beds, a herb bench to linger on and an area for environmental education. The specially renovated city wall shows how monument and biotope protection can work together. In the nature garden, you can discover small biotopes such as a pond, fluttering butterfly bed, marsh bed, sun and wild shrub hill, flowering lawns, Benjes hedges and much more. The bower in the round tower invites you to reflect on our nature and the café in the Natur!Garten is open from April to October.
