The village of Dörflas is picturesquely situated in the Thuringian Vogtland countryside not far from the Saale river. It is home to what is probably the smallest church in central Germany.

It was not until 1935 that the chapel was built for the former manor. While the manor was destroyed in 1948, the church was preserved but fell into disrepair. The church was reconsecrated in 1999. Services are held monthly - even sacred evening music is performed.
