The Bielen district of Nordhausen is located right outside the city gates and is also directly connected to the city center by a cycle path. In summer, the lido at the Bielen gravel water attracts visitors. Worth seeing in Bielen is the village church with an early Gothic choir with cross vaulting and a late Gothic winged altar from around 1500.

Guests can choose from various accommodation options in the village. The village in the Goldene Aue has been settled for around 1300 years. Bielen was first mentioned in a document in 1158, when Emperor Frederick I exchanged his Nordhausen possessions for monastery revenues from Bielen and Windehausen.
