Apolda Paulinenpark
The three-tiered Paulinenpark at the GlockenStadtMuseum provides insights into the city's resounding history with its terrace and bell garden. The spacious landscaped park with its mature trees is perfect for a stroll.
A 550-meter-long serpentine path winds through the modern terraced garden, with historic apple trees and ornamental apple varieties planted along the edge of the path.
A themed "water lily pond" playground has been created in the former swimming pool. The play equipment made of robinia wood in the style of pond plants and animals is perfect for climbing and romping around.
A pavilion as a cabaret stage in the countryside
The adjoining bell garden not only offers secluded spots along the historic wall of the GlockenStadtMuseum, but also under one of the huge old trees.
In the adjoining Café Ella, you can enjoy the various views of the park as well as homemade cakes and coffee.
One highlight is the pavilion, which has been restored to its former glory and becomes a cabaret stage in the summer months from May to August, inviting visitors to enjoy theater, cabaret and short literary pieces. The Kunsthaus Apolda Avantgarde on the other side of the street means that art and culture are only a chime away.
