The Pavilion Press preserves evidence of the cultural techniques of writing, reading and printing that gave Weimar its identity in one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. With printing forms, typefaces and many operational machines from several centuries as well as a unique specialist library, the museum conveys cultural education in a variety of ways. The craft of graphic printing processes is preserved, used and demonstrated. The regular special exhibitions, guided tours, workshops and conferences complement the program and make the Pavillon-Presse an increasingly popular cultural meeting place.
