Pennewitz - gateway to "air experiences"

Pennewitz is located on the northern slope of the Lange Berg, on the B88 near the Rennsteig. The small village has a beautiful landscape with many ponds and plains, as well as extensive woodland as far as Paulinzella. Well-signposted hiking trails and the long-distance cycle path "Thüringer Waldrandroute" with connections to the Saale and Ilmtal cycle paths, among others, invite you to get active, linger longer and enjoy a peaceful, relaxing vacation.

Chartering one of the small airplanes at the Pennewitz airfield, which is suitable for gliders and single-engine planes, is a very special experience. Due to the high demand, sightseeing flights are offered by appointment to explore our homeland and the Thuringian Forest from above. It is even possible to obtain a pilot's license, although you will need to take more time for this.
