In the „Goldene Aue“ between the Harz Mountains and the Kyffhäuser Mountains stands the Renaissance castle in which the guesthouse has been set up. The guesthouse in Heringen Castle offers its guests a warm welcome. Visible from afar, they tower over the Goldene Aue - the white walls of Heringen Castle. Recognized as a cultural monument of national importance, it has been extensively renovated in recent years. The 700-year-old walls house four floors of exhibitions on the history of the town and castle. The castle's great hall shines in new splendor thanks to the permanent exhibition that opened in summer 2021. Since May 2019, the castle has also been home to the interactive and experience-oriented permanent archaeological exhibition „The oldest village in Thuringia“. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Stone Age and Bronze Age archaeology and learn about the cultural history of the region in a multimedia experience. Original finds from excavations and hands-on replicas round off the museum experience.

Today, guests can spend the night like royalty in the castle. The guesthouse is characterized by its unique ambience, where peace and relaxation are paramount. There is therefore no radio or television here. A LAN connection is available. Guests can reach the guesthouse via a spiral staircase or the elevator.
