Pfaffschwende is a municipality in the administrative community of Ershausen/Geismar in the Thuringian district of Eichsfeld. The village lies at the foot of the Gobert on a plateau in southern Eichfeld. Like many places, Pfaffschwende is a "clustered village" according to its layout.

The name refers to the clearing of or by a priest, church or monastery.
