Plateau of the Lion Monument

From the height of the war memorial on the Stadtberg, inaugurated in 1928, a magnificent panorama of the former imperial city opens up. From here, you can also see large parts of Mühlhausen's surrounding countryside between the city forest in the west, Dün in the north and Heilinger Heights in the east. The numerous church towers stand out in the townscape. Together, they are landmarks of Mühlhausen, which is particularly proud of its churches, each of which combines the town's past and present with its own unique usage concepts.
