The Pomona bronze ensemble was the first of two other pieces of street furniture planned as part of the redesign of Sömmerda's city center and was handed over in September 2010.

Pomona - goddess of crops and fruit - has been welcoming visitors to Marktstraße at the former Wenigensömmer Gate since that day.

This bronze sculpture group by sculptor and artist Professor Wolfgang Dreysse highlights Sömmerda's once agricultural character.
