Take a seat and stretch your legs: the bench made of Berka red sandstone directly opposite Frau von Stein's house offers plenty of space for a convivial get-together. Nine stone vases interwoven with leafy plants and summer flowers as well as magnificent ornamental decoration and arabesque motifs adorn the Weimar specimen not far from the park entrance on the field wall. The antique model can still be seen today in Pompeii. Duchess Anna Amalia had her portrait painted there by Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Tischbein during her trip to Italy. The copy that has adorned the entrance to the park since 1799 is a reminder of this.
