Prinzenhof Arnstadt
Prinzenhof Arnstadt
The Prinzenhof is one of the historically valuable buildings in the district town of Arnstadt. Built as a three-winged courtyard in 1583, it initially served as the widow's residence of Countess Katharina von Nassau and was converted into the "Prinzenhof" for the Prince of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen between 1721-1725. After an eventful history, today the well-preserved and renovated building fabric - including the inlaid floor - and modern furnishings form an appealing and successful harmony.
