Combine your overnight stay with a visit to the Feengrotten show mine, the Grottoneum adventure museum, the Feenweltchen (May - October) or the Heilstollen. You can also explore Saalfeld's historic town center on a guided tour (May - October from the tourist information office). You can easily reach the town center by public transport directly from the fairy grottos.
